What is Embrace, Compare, Explore?

Posted on August 22, 2010 at 7:40am 0 Comments

Confusing for the time being the Three Objects of the Society with what Theosophy is, we can more or less sum up today's living theosophical concepts.

First, "To form a nucleus of the universal COMMUNITY ( in today's language, brotherhood excludes 52% of the world's population, and actually repels about 10% of us.) of Humanity without distinction of race, creed, sex, caste or color." That would be EMBRACE. Embrace the community you…

Purpose Driven Atheism: Secular Maharishis Seeking True Believers

By Frank Schaeffer

June 23, 2009

Do Richard Dawkins, Bill Maher, and other true believers really offer a different path, or are their methods and manner merely a mirror image of the fundamentalism they so despise? We are spiritual animals and must learn to live with the complexities and paradoxes of religion—and of the natural world as well.

Just another… Continue

Theosophy Today-Daily Life

Posted on March 22, 2009 at 9:00am 21 Comments

Hoping that all members will be able to get away from the in-the-brain theosophy to a point of sharing what we do in the real world that has theosophical meaning. Some theosophists forget to go out in the real world and be theosophy. I hope that people will share here theosophy in their lives. From dealing with the fundamentalists on the doorstep, to standing in line at the grocery store, we create a nucleus of universal brotherhood either consciously or unconsciously. I hope that we can use… Continue

Susan,

I heard there was some trouble following your recent hip surgery. I can't imagine what going through a hip surgery is like even when all goes well--our hips are things we take for granted until something goes wrong.

How is everything going? Are you in a lot of pain?

My thoughts are with you. I hope you're recovering well. As they say here in Norway, "God bedring!" (more or less, "Get well soon!")

Do you have Jupiter in your 7th House of marriage astrologically?  I want to write my doctoral thesis on scleroderma.  I took all of the pre-nursing classes in California and passed them.  The nursing program was impacted.  Alas, I did not get in.  The good part is that I can really understand my autoimmune illness, scleroderma.  I would never have tortured myself thru microbiology, physiology, anatomy, and chemistry if it were not for the goal of becoming a nurse.  Nursing is an excellent profession!  I have had a great experience with nurse practitioners.  What is your job title (register nurse, nurse practitioner)?

How cool to find another graduate from the University of Metaphysics!  My father took courses from Dr. Masters when I was in high school.  I met my husband, Dr. Pat Ramsey, at one of Dr. Masters' services when he had a church in the San Fernando Valley area in California.  My master level thesis was titled, "Healing as an Art".  What was the title of your master level thesis?  Are you planning to write a doctoral thesis?

These sites are great way to contact with people around the world who ae interested about theosophy and spirituality. But I find it quite difficult to find some discussions by subject for example. If I want to find out discussions about Einstein and Secret Doctorine I cannot. Only if I go trhough lots of stuff I may find. This is somthing that should be improved. I belive that would serve all of us, but mostly people who study some subject and wnats to find some opnions or researshes of today.

Susan,

At Primrose (my home) it is 20 degrees and is not suppose to get much over that all week.

My three geese who refuse to live in the coop I bought them, hang out under the deck. They are begging to come in the house, (my dane Sophy, (theoSOPHY) opens the door so they have been in several times LOL) and it is breaking my heart!

Stay warm!

I try to apply a few simple rules to all my daily activities; nothing complicated or esoteric. Firstly I am responsible for every action or inaction. This resonates with everyone because it meets common sense test. Secondly be helpful to everyone. If there is any action which helps anyone, support it.

Whole world is interconnected. Last night I was going through the list of critical facilities/natural sources in the world that were identified in one of the leaked cables and was impressed by the fact these were all over the world. So we are no longer isolated even if we do no recognize it.
