Sharon Ormerod replied to Jon Fergus's discussion 'Phase 1 - Preface' in the group Voice of the Silence Study Group
A number of years ago I committed to reading one third of the book, Fragment 1, Fragment 2, Fragment3 each night before sleep. I repeated the cycle over and over again, similar to the commitment one would make to meditation practice. I didn't…

Sharon Ormerod replied to Jon Fergus's discussion 'Introductions' in the group Voice of the Silence Study Group
Hello everyone. Thank you Jon for starting this group -  the Voice is the one book that I keep by my bed and I couldn't agree more when Jacques and David said it speaks to the heart. It's the practical guide to keep us examining…

Voice of the Silence Study Group

Thumbnail
Hello everyone. The intention of this group is to delve into HPB’s The Voice of the Silence in a effort at sustained group study. The hope here is to go through the Voice step by step, together, discussing each part, sharing our thoughts, posing questions and generally engaging ourselves as a group in the study of its content. The Voice of the Silence is far from a typical academic writing, and is therefore not simply a matter of study in terms of grasping an intellectual hold of its words, but…See More

Susan Thomas commented on Sharon Ormerod's blog post 'Realities'
I think we maybe concern ourselves too much with maya.  Most of us ponder a lot of "what-if's" that never materialize in our lives, and I think we may gain just as much spiritual experience by projecting what we would do in the…

Joe Fulton commented on Sharon Ormerod's blog post 'Realities'
This inspires a thought from a training session I went to at Krotona in the 1980's (eek...hordes of ancientness!) where, as a group we were split up and encouraged to come up with limericks that described pieces parts of the Secret Doctrine. So…

Realities

The following is one of my favourite quotes of Blavatsky's in the Secret Doctrine. It reminds me that when I am having one of those awesome moments, when I suddenly see the whole picture and understand it more clearly than ever before, it is one more step on the journey through Maya!“Whatever plane our consciousness may be acting in, both we and the things belonging to that plane are, for the time being, our only realities. As we rise in the scale of development we perceive that during the…See More

I have heard similar comments from psychics who find it difficult to describe in words what they observe internally. Even some speakers struggling to find words to describe the ideas in their head and heart.

The Ultimate Quest of the Artist is in the Spirit.

First, one seeks to become an artist by training the hand. Then onefinds it is the eye that needs improving. Later one learns it is themind that wants developing, only to find that the ultimate quest of theartist is in the spirit. (Larry Brullo) Being an artist myself I can relate to this comment. In everyone of my paintings I am searching for something that is beyond description, beyond preconceived ideas and happens in uncontrived naturalness. See More

Art is a way to taste beauty and see the reality beyond the illusion life
Art is a way to beautify the word reaching into the deep feeling within hearts not minds since mind is the filter which may stop the reality light rays to penetrate the dark mind
