Meanderings - September 28, 2010 - Reframing Theosophy

Sometimes being a true radical is a hard thing to do.

This is a movement in a real need of reframing. For those of you who know me well, this is no new news. The sentiment shows up on the front page and in the general character of the site.

A metamorphosis is taking shape and you are part of it. The Theosophical movement has been defined for many years by a top-down nature. Alternately there has been a fiercely independent contrarian movement which has focused on the importance of individual effort.

We're different.

We understand that sometimes groups accomplish what individuals alone can't.

We also understand that you don't have to superglue people into never-changing structures to get things done.

We don't insist on making people fork over lots of money to take part and we don't ask what one believes. All that we ask is that people act like adults and play civil.

A group can come together to do something and go on their way. Someone can contribute an idea and be gone.

And you know what?

IT WORKS!

Thanks much!
