Squidoo has created a template for online quizes that I've been having some fun with. So test out if you really practice the second object of the TS by studying religion, by taking my quiz about religion in general. Or whether you know enough about the largest world religion: Christianity. Perhaps a bit closer to home: I also made Blavatsky trivia and Jiddu Krishnamurti trivia quizes.

Please tell me if any of the questions are wrong. The folks at the Krishnamurti ning helped me correct one question already.

Oh - and share how you did of course :)

More are coming up. I'll be doing all the main world religions soon enough I think.

here are three more: Yoga triva quiz and Buddhism trivia quiz and Hinduism trivia quiz.

--

And more new ones: Jewish trivia quiz and a page where I'll keep track of all trivia quizes as I make them: religion and spirituality trivia quizzes.

I just meant a few supposedly less-noticed religions have ideas like the 'world' ones: for example Taoism may be recognizable as a perhaps major one with deep philosophy, and there are about five or six more like what some call the world ones.

I got a 10/10 on the Witchcraft/Wicca quiz. Thank you for doing these quizzes....

The astrology quiz wasn't by me. I've added a few quizzes by other people to my list of cool quizzes.

The 'monotheist' terminology stuff is - from a scientific perspective - rather controversial. Is Christianity monotheist? What about the trinity then? Is Islam monotheist? What about the angels (article of faith)? Etc. Is Hinduism polytheist? What about their belief that One divinity underlies it all?

The limitation of multiple choice lists like this is that they are not suited to discuss controversy, so I'm sticking to solid fact.

(I guess earlier I missed the part where you added them.) I got 60% on Judaism, 70% on Bible characters, 100% on Islam (though a couple answers were just best guesses, like guessing the largest Islamic nation by roughly its area size and maybe other things,) 100% on astrology. However, I partly disagree about the number of signs: in recent years it has been found Ophicius is in the Zodiac (of course it does not work as a sign if one requires signs to have the same number of degrees, etc..) Also, related to earlier conversation--sidereal astrology may not be based on signs rather than stars in the sky, but it still has 360 degrees: so I am unsure what you meant about that.... I noticed some of your pages/quizzes are about 'world religions' but not all 'great religions' (usually meaning 'monotheist' or something--pan(en)theist, (kat)henotheist, etc.,) which may be relevant even if not worldwide....

All the quizzes ARE now mentioned above. :)

I'm thinking about making a page with the questions and answers so people can print them out. That would not be a place to discuss them though.

I got 9/10 on the Hinduism quiz. My wrong answer gave me a higher opinion of Hinduism--maybe I will mention it later: if answers are revealed below, not just discussed, it may still help for quizzes to be in the top as well as their own post, but it is up to you. I guess long ago I had read about asceticism in Yoga. Another idea is physical Yoga was started by movements of Shakti, which are called kriyas. It is said there are also consciousness kriyas.

BTW: today I created a Hinduism trivia quiz :) I wonder whether you'll do as well :)

You didn't know that 'Yoga practice originally involved intense ascetic practices' -well it's very true. You know, those pictures of ascetics standing on their heads for ages, or meditating by a tree so long the tree starts growing around them. All that's yoga too - what we do in the west isn't only a less spiritual version, it's also WAY less ascetic.

I got 7/7 on the Buddhist one (but I looked up one about a flag) and 9/10 on Yoga. The answer to whether Yoga was ascetic or not surprised me. I based my answer on Patanjali's Yoga Sutra but got it wrong anyway; maybe the answer is elsewhere. Katinka, you could add the two new quizzes to the original post so they do not get lost under comments....

I finally succeeded in correcting the mistake. Thanks Govert for alerting me to it.

I've set up two more quizes: Yoga trivia and Buddhism trivia.
