The year 2011 will be remembered in history for disasters. Beginning with the earthquake in New Zealand, followed by the earthquake and tsunami in in Japan, to several earthquakes and hurricanes around the globe, it is about to end with a  disaster in Philippines. Heavy rainfall brought about by typhoon Washi resulted in flash floods and mudslides killing 650, at the last count and over…

Evolution Of Technology

Posted on June 17, 2011 at 4:33am 3 Comments

The origin of this post is in a question that I posed to our brilliant host of the World Wide Wisdom Radio talkshow - Peter O'Lalor. In the context of apprehensions about the emerging technologies, Nano and Bio, my question was "Can Humans Control the Evolution of Technology?"

Let us look at the four discoveries in the Human history that had the greatest of impacts. Someone, without planning perhaps discovered Fire. Surely the elders and the wise of the society of that time,…

Humanity Vs. Divinity - WWW Radio

Posted on May 23, 2011 at 6:58pm 1 Comment

Listening to WWW Radio is an amazing experience. Peter, in his affable voice explaining the Ancient Wisdom is not only mesmerizig but also addictive as in the end it leaves one desiring for more. Heidi is a perfectly neutral host allowing everyone to put their views across and never imposes her own thoughts. It is this background, which encourages people like me to ask questions.

In the show last week, Peter explained that Spirituality is a study related to Divinity. Post…

Hi Captain Anand

Thank you for asking for our beginning friendship. I am a long time theosophist. I've been active with Altadena, with Adyar, and with those around Iyer. I am going my own way now, but with a genuine sense of love and gratitude to everyone/anyone who has explored and committed to these matrices of Wisdom. For me Taimni will always be important. Also D.K. Also, Iyer's work with interpreting spiritual/occult texts has been very helpful. I think he saw the importance of the Gospel of Thomas before most others.  That we here are a community that can begin to ask questions again, with no ideology compelling the answer, is my deepest wish. Thank you again.

Thank you for the welcome Capt. Anand Kumar.I must say just browsing this forum for a couple hours that this is something right up my alley.I especially find the exchange of opinions regarding Benjamin Creme interesting since I have been following his message and effort and studying the material he has conveyed for quite some time. Before I stumbled upon Creme I had been studying theosophy especially the Alice Bailey teaching and was drawn to the message about the reappearance of the Christ or World Teacher Maitreya and the externalization of the the Great White Brotherhood.

Thanks for the welcome, Capt. Anad. This looks to be a great site for me to learn things I don't really know much about. However, I am more than interested in sharing my views with anyone while at the same time learning about the opinions and views of others. Give me a couple of days to find topics that resonate and catch my interest.

All the best for now,

Axel
