Erica, are you having trouble viewing Youtube videos? I had it with Chrome, but the latest updates seem to have solved the issues with Flash with Chrome.

To be clear: I have RSS fed pages, not discussions. These can be followed separately in my group on Temple Illuminatus.
Things have just started there and I hope will people there will add to this discussion. The more people involved the better.

Above you can find an RSS feed of the starting pages of my group on Temple Illuminatus. Since it can only show 5 items, I guess I will have to manually post some material to two sites now. Anyway, the Depiction of the problem shows the point on the consequences of peak cheap oil. Then follow some postings on permaculture: ethics and principles. I will put more on this later.

I wish I could be that optimistic.  Until a graceful way out is figured the trend will be towards greater marginalization and frustration.

As much as I like Rachel Maddow.  MSNBC is also part of one of these corporations and when they start hitting too close to something that hurts they'll become very establisment, too.

I find that the situation with the Occupy movement becoming more and more marginalized here in the US is putting off the days of reckoning, and making worse the inevitable.

The "rich" have won for now, but what may happen in the coming years is that those who have tried to speak up will feel increasingly disenfranchised.  When appropriate behaviors have not worked, perhaps other types will.  Our leaders have forgotten all of the lessons of the ecology / civil rights protests of the 1960's.

When the disenfranchised lose hope the results are not pretty.
