Nice to make this houses in the way I tell you now: print them on some thick paper, cut in the middle and fix the two parts to each other, so if you unfold you have a square of that.
Take besides more space for fixing to each other.

Also you can cut open few windows and put some colored paper behind it. Than place the whole over a glass jar with a tealight in it. So let the light shine in the dark days before Christmas and let it not fire.

Have nice time and enjoy the light from the antique( still we have in Zaandam)Dutch houses.

My wife has a collection of them made out of porcelain. And she refuse to let me blow them up!
